i'm working on the support. but the current micro will not run on it since i need completelly different drivers. i have a firmware running on a similar device with the same chipset but more flash. as far as i'm getting a v8 router (not available here in germany, so if someone wants to donate one ) i can start with working on that support _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? Tell me what you want... pictures of the board.. names on the ICs.. I have one I am ready to kick across the yard if it doesnt stop killing my xbox connection (wireless bridge). And to be frank... Linksys is like most corp. businesses they blame everything but what the issue is.. THEIR ROUTER
Off topic but not really... the V8 I have is actually working better than the v2.2. I have a GS v6 in my living room running a full 23 SP2 and when I hooked up the G v2.2 (running v23 SP2 micro) in my office (wireless bridge with GS 6 as AP) the wireless went down every 15 minutes.. but when I hooked up the V8 with OEM firmware the connection has been solid for over 5 hours of streaming and not dropped once..... maybe linksys did something right.... maybe.

Just wondering how the code/drivers are coming along for the Linksys WRT54G v8 routers. I had a v6 one that I somehow bricked with the install of the generic micro v.24 of DD-WRT,not sure what happened, but it just died on me.
After seeing some of the features of this firmware(mainly the wireless repeater) i figured i'd give it a try, but am stuck with a cdff model. thought mine is a WRT54G-CA or so the box says, but the S/N is CDFF1G623160. Any new news on how the firmware for the model is coming, or are you still waiting to get your hands on one of these routers?

Any update on this project? did you ever get a test router, etc?
no never got one. "tornado" here in the forum is working on it and he gives me the informations for firmware changes. but that all makes it much slower. i gave him everthing he requires for doing the bootloader stuff _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking?
