Hi everyone,

I think I asked this question somewhere before, but I could not find the thread. I have a oldie but goodie USR9106 router, which I would like to install newer firmware on.

Because the code is already open-source:
http://www.usr.com/support/s-gpl-code.asp?loc=unkg
I was once told that I could compile the kernel myself. Fair enough, except my aim is to add some of the pretty features available through the dd-wrt web interface and not just re-compile what I already havo on the router. I assume that for this I would have to write (or copy + paste into correct places) a lot of code in C? I have zero skills there, so if this is what I would have to do, sayanora to this idea...

Thanks for any input.
