Not to be a troll here. I have been using dd-wrt for years now and actually use some features but I gain the impression that every new built fixes something and breaks something else that was working in the past creating a circular motion where the only thing that really changes is the build number.

With the large number of routers even the builds become confusing.

would it make sense to rethink the building process and possibly decommission builds after a final stable version has been released ? A new router is $50 these days, so there is not need to drag the geriatric products along.
