I just bricked my WRT400N with 18007. Where can I purchase a serial cable to de-brick? Otherwise anyone wants to pay shipping to get a bricked WRT400N? Thanks.
Hey, glad to see there is still some development for the WRT400N.
I am looking for a firmware update as there is a rogue route in the routing table and the openVPN implementation is a bit shoddy for the latest firmware in the router database is from 2010.
Anyone got a later "stable", as in not semi-bricking, firmware?
Otherwise, any advice for DIY firmware, like compile from source?
Ho my god... my firmware on my WRT400N is 16785... and i've found today that the last build was the 18007.
Does I need to upgrade? I have no wifi problem, all run great... if isn't broken don't fix it, but?!?!?
I've read some post that the people trying to flash with WRT400N got brick or semi-brick. I don't know how to unbrick because i'm very noob and I don't know anything.
So, it's dangerous to flash from 16785 to 18007 or not?

Do not upgrade past 17201.
@BrainSlayer, could you at least remove the files from the last 2 builds for the wrt400n since they are bricking the units. _________________ Peacock Thread-FAQ -- dd-wrt Wiki
So, if the major of my device use wired portion of the router and I don't have issue with the wireless, I don't need to upgrade... that's what I understand?!?!?
