I installed 23320 built a few days ago and I want to tell you, guys, that this built is unbelievable stable in comparison to the previous versions. 8 days without spontaneous reboot (and still running), no wireless issues. MAC cloning works. Great job!
read what? He said it is possible, I installed dd-wrt just for this, and now I see it is not
When I try to change it, it only changes by 2 dbm and THATS IT
After 5 hours, all seems fine over WiFi - Auto 20/40Mhz (tested forced 40Mhz - worked well), TKIP+AES. We will see after few days how it copes with half a dozen devices
The lease time says 1day all the time, so I guess this is still broken, although that is a minor issue.
Don't know about LAN performance (and LEDs), access to the ports is beyond my short lan cable reach, it's going to be only used as wifi ap, so I can't be bothered anyway. Other LEDs seem to be working correctly.
Over two years ago I gave my first 740N (with lower 4.x h/w revision) to my friend (with flashed dd-wrt build 20119) and it works just fine since then, great piece of hardware if all you need is an access point for a few devices.
EDIT: LAN LEDs seem to be working fine

Hello,
I installed DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) std - build 21061 on mine TP-Link TL-WR740N v4 and I have problem with WiFi encryption.
When I am using TKIP as encryption everything is working fine but when I try to switch to AES or both then every client tries to authenticate and drop connection after a second (then try again and again). It may not be big deal but AES is better encryption and I heard it is working.
Posted: Tue Mar 11, 2014 5:01 Post subject: Some problems
I have successfully flashed my wr740n with 21061 last night. Although, I haven't used the router enough but following are the problems I have noticed:
1. LAN indicators are not working. They are permanently off.
2. Wifi devices are unable to connect with security turned on. They keep falling back while obtaining IP address. Have tried all authentication protocals - WEP, WPA, WPA2 (AES/TKIP). Haven't tried static IP yet. But with security disabled, there is no such issue - devices are able to connect in a breeze.
Apart from these shortcomings, I find the lack of following features.
1. Ability to select what ethernet ports to enable DHCP on.
2. Ability to schedule wifi radio so as to shut it off at night.
3. SNMP for bandwidth monitoring.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
--> I would like to know what build is most appropriate for my router. <--
Here are my details again, in tabular format:
Model: TP-WR740n v4.27
DD-wrt build: v24 PreSP2 [Beta] Build:21061
(Got the firmware from Router Database)
