After upgrading to version 18000 my 1043 is dead.

Can someone send me (or point me the link) to the serial cable recovery?

Thanks,
Gabriel

and on the same wiki page:

next time read the forum and wait a few days before flashing and see what the other people are saying about that particular build.

Currently i'm still running factory after trying dd-wrt 17201 and OpenWRT backfire (i tried both rc6 and a svn trunk snapshot) but i went back to the factory image and i'm waiting for either OpenWRT or dd-wrt to publish a build i'd be happy with.

So far it's hit and miss with both Sad

That will probably be a good idea!

Thanks!

Works fine DIR-825, WNDR3700 v1..

Are you able to mount a USB share with your DIR-825?

I don't use USB. Never did since when I first got a router and DD-WRT it ate up all the RAM and was slower than USB 1.0, i just stuck to using the computer..

double check all your settings once you have saved and applied at the approiate tabs - I found my main AP SSID was changed back to the default and had to re-set that page again.

Not sure what your settings are but you should have connection type disabled,no dhcp, router ip changed, gateway, subnet, dns set. On the wireless tab I use manual Gateway i.p.

Advanced routing "routed".

Services - I turn off DNSmasq.

Turn off firewall.

Then again I may be preaching to the quire if so forgive me.

Maybe a factory reset, then 30/30/30, reset again and re-flash.

Oddely the wireless light came up for a moment on my E2100L only after I had made all my setting changes and rebooted.

Strange how the code works for some and not others.

Good Luck,

The throughput looks good - I just pulled down a Ubuntu iso with no problems or errors it stayed between 350 and 400 kbps most of the time and I was able to log into the router and monitor the throughput.

Its a Keeper for the E2100L probably the 160NL as well - This one ought to make it to the recommended thread / s - hum have to update the three of them..

Thanks B.S - Nice Job on the right track with this one!

cheers

I've flashed the version r18000 successfully on mein D-Link Dir825 but now i can't connect my Wlan-Cam (Edimax IC-3030Wn) to the Router. With older version it works fine.

After reset the setting and reconfig it works with 18000

between 350 and 400 kbps good? Just asking because my wzr-hp-ag300h r17461 will download at the max my isp will provide (currently 1536 kbps). When fist installed 2.4 ghz would download at 1536 kbps but 5 ghz was limiting at 350 to 500 kbps. I then enabled QoS (w/port set to WAN+LAN), set the Uplink and Downlink to 100000 kbps, and checked "Optimize for Gaming". Now both 2.4 and 5 g download at isp limit.

I am running in "Client Bridge Routed" with V.I off my neighbors 20 mbps comcast, however he uses a old netgear g router and the E2100L with a bi-quad and 8 dbi antenna is only bringing in between 72 -74 dbi on the host signal - Brick house and a huge RV in the line of site so I can only focus on the corner of the signal.

At the E2100L with Ethernet plugged in it pull about 5mbps and that is in the attic - in the basement where I access the network I am pulling 350 - 400kbps - Trust Me I am pleased with the performance and boosted signal with this build - The signal increased about 6dbi for me and the site survey works well in as much as it will reflect changes with the antenna positioning, previous build would not.

And last this build allows one to consistently access the router GUI via wireless unlike the others - That alone is a must if located in a hard to get to area.

cheers
