I have a WRT160Nv3/DDWRTv24 that's suffering from intermittent connection losses. I can fix the problem by simply changing the wireless settings on the router, which forces a reconnect without rebooting.

I want to write a cron job that will do this every day, automatically, at (let's say) 4AM. How would I do this? I already know the basic cron syntax, and I read the wiki page (including the warning about losing all cron jobs stored in tmp after a reboot), but I don't know how to disconnect and reconnect the wireless adapter.

Have you tried scheduling a reboot?
It can be found under administration > keep alive.
