Hello everyone. I want to install dd-wrt on my Cisco Linksys e2000, but I'm terribly confused by all the different firmware builds. I have downloaded:

dd-wrt.v24_mega_generic.bin
dd-wrt.v24-14929_NEWD-2_K2.6_std_usb_ftp-e2000.bin
dd-wrt.v24-16785_NEWD-2_K2.6_big-e2k-e3k.bin
dd-wrt.v24-16785_NEWD-2_K2.6_big-e2000.bin
dd-wrt.v24-16785_NEWD-2_K2.6_std_usb_nas-e2000.bin

Which one do I flash?
What makes each build different?

I'm having good results with BS 18000 mini E2000

Make sure to read the E4200 wiki before your brick your router:

I've been using "DD-WRT v24-sp2 (12/24/10) big - build 15962" for the last month or so and it's been rock-solid. Started with 14929 and upgraded based on a recent thread.

Thanks for the input! I think I'm going to try flashing dd-wrt.v24-14929_NEWD-2_K2.6_std_usb_ftp-e2000.bin because it sounds like the most stable option. Still would like to know what differences there are between firmware versions or what makes one better than another. Anyone in the know?

Hello!
I have one question. What build of mega firmware you think is most stable now? Thanks!

I"m running DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/13/11) std-usb-nas - build 16785 on a converted wrt320n----->e2000 box. Very stable for my needs currently, which are nothing specifically advanced. Online gaming, LAN/WAN based remote access, Media streaming, general internet access/sharing.
