Thank you for your quick response!!!

When you say "reset", do you mean just press the reset button?

I have exact the same issue. Have a e1000 v1 version. Flashed to tomato, but found repeater bridge mode is important to my home network. Want to flash to dd-wrt. But tomato web gui reports "File contains an invalid header". Please help.

My current tomato version is Tomato USB 1.27. Thanks.

you need to flash back to stock firmware. Then install dd-wrt.

I put the modded stock linksys build back on my ftp site in the "new uploads" folder. Not really the right place but it is there for now.

as I explained in this thread, reset your router to defailts, then flash the modded stock build via the tomato upgrade gui.

DON'T DO IT!!!

The modded build on my ftp site is for a version 2.1.

follow the same instruction I gave in this thread. upload the stock linksys firmware for your router, and upload the tomato build you flashed. I will modify the stock build so you can flash it from the tomato gui.

DO NOT FLASH THE MODDED BUILD THAT IS ON THE SITE!

EDIT: I removed the build and hopefully you read this post and I removed it before you downloaded it.

upload the stock linksys build for your router and the tomato build you flashed.

Oh my god! I thought you made that for me.

I had downloaded and flashed the version before you removed it! Luckily my router is still alive. Now I am in the cisco gui.

it must be a lucky day for me!

So can I proceed to the dd-wrt by following this link? http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linksys_E1000

Well good.. Looking at the linksys site.. It is the same bin for the V1, 2, & 2.1. I would have thought that the bins would be diff for the v1 vs v2~

You should buy a lottery ticket!

Anyway.. Yes, now that you are running stock firmware, just follow the wiki.

Hey Barryware,
My version-1 E1000 is stuck on tomato, and I need dd-wrt. I could really use this modded firmware (FW_E1000_2.1.02.005_US_MOD.bin), but I'm not finding it on your server.
Is there a way I could get a copy?

Thanks! You just made my wife very happy. I've been spending a lot of time trying to get rid of tomato.

I got the same issue. I installed a Tomato FW into my Linksys E1000(V1) and now want to flash back to stock firmware. An error message that said "File contains an invalid header" when trying to load the stock FW. Can anyone help?

Thank you so much!

Hi barryware,

Sorry to hijack this thread but I'm just wondering if you have a modded firmware file but for the E2000? I believe we only have v1.

I need to return to DD-WRT Sad I miss it.

Thanks!!

EDIT:

I browsed your ftp site and under

ftp://ftp.barryware.net/OEM Firmware/

I found this file

FW_E2000_1.0.04.007_US_20101201_code,0.bin

Is that a modded file that fixes the header error?

FW_E2000_1.0.04.007_US_20101201_code.bin
 Description:
Stock Linksys E2000 FW

Download
 Filename:  FW_E2000_1.0.04.007_US_20101201_code.bin

start a new thread.. when you do, what is on the router now?
