Well, I figure there is no point in opening a new thread, but that someone may find the info below useful in the future.
So I opened my CNP-WF514N3 router to see what's inside. It does not have an FCC ID so this was my only choice.
Unfortunately, it is Realtek based, so there is no hope left. I am attaching the pic. Sorry for the crappy quality - I had to take it with a phone cam.
The chips are these:
Realtek RTL8192SE + RTL8196B
ESMT M12L128168A-6T
mx s103045 29lv160dbti-70g (it is not visible in the photo, but that's what it says)
So there is no chance for this to be supported. In case anyone asks.
