Need help with WAP54G v1.1

Following the instructions at the wiki:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linksys_WAP54G#For_loading_firmware_on_the_WAP54G_V1.X.3D.

I'm installing the image which is linked to from that page:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/others/eko/V24_TNG/svn15230/dd-wrt.v24-15230_VINT_micro.bin

Trying to issue the following commands per the instructions (which I've followed to the letter):

nvram set boardnum=2
nvram commit

But I'm getting the following:

nvram_commit(): failed
/dev/nvram: Cannot allocate memory


Anyone else experience this problem?
