Hi!

I want to use dd-wrt since it appearenty patches a security issue with WPA. However I'm not sure it works with my router.

I have a Linksys WRT54GL Router with Firmware-Version: v4.30.7. However in the Database it says dd-wrt is only available with version 1.0/1.1. Will it work with my router?

Also, can I go back to my old firmware if I have saved an .cgf file of the old settings?

The database is referring to the version of the router hardware, not the firmware software version. Look on the bottom on the router for that information. You probably have 1.1. Yes you can run ddwrt on your router, Check out this thread for more information on which version to flash.

Remember to flash the MICRO version before you flash the standard version!
