WRT600N (v1.1?) lights flashing yellow, flash unsuccessful

My WRT600N stopped working one day. Every ~18 seconds, the 4 ethernet and 1 internet lights flash yellow. On boot and every few seconds, I can get a ping response, ttl=100. I've tried flashing the tftp firmware recommended in the router database (I know it's bad. I stopped trying that one). Stil yellow lights and ttl=100. Then I tried flashing ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2010/08-12-10-r14929/broadcom/dd-wrt.v24_std_wrt600n.bin with tftp right after boot. Nothing has worked so far

Can anyone help?

after much searching, maclover201's solution in https://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=362844#362844 finally worked to get back to stock fw.
I'll flash dd-wrt again tomorrow and see how that goes.
