I have a dd-wrt router and a dd-wrt wap (see sig).
I have the WAP set up to DHCP forward request to the router.
My laptop works fine, but both my wife and my iPads are not
getting a DHCP address.
All 3 devices are connecting to the same antenna on the WAP.
Any thoughts on something I can do ?
I suppose I could put my laptop in promiscuous mode and sit on the wire
and watch for DHCP request packets, but I am no pro there, and wanted
to see if there was something else to look at first. _________________ ~Knaf
Yet another case of not knowing what DHCP forwarding is for... Don't use it, just disable DHCP and follow the rest of the instructions in the WAP guide on the wiki! _________________ Read the forum announcements thoroughly! Be cautious if you're inexperienced.

Looking for bricks and spare routers to expand my collection.

I had it disabled as the guild suggested first.
But my devices were not getting a DHCP address, so that is why I tried something else. _________________ ~Knaf
Uncheck the three dnsmasq boxes on the basic settings page of your primary router. You will need to do a hard reset on the repeater bridge and reconfigure it according to the wiki. See the forum announcements for other basic information, especially the peacock.
