Posted: Thu Jan 26, 2012 10:54 Post subject: QoS bei DD-WRT Firmware: gute Einstellungen?!
Ich nutze schon seit langer Zeit "v24preSP2[Beta] Build 13064 (recommended)" auf einem WRT54GL 1.0 und seit Kurzem die "v24preSP2[Beta] Build 14896". Soweit läuft alles wunderbar!
Da jedoch in der Zwischenzeit 1.) immer mehr Clients hinzukommen und 2.) alle durch einen DSL3000-Anschluss "durch" müssen, habe ich angefangen mir über QOS Gedanken zu machen.
Was für mich etwas verwirrend ist, ist die Tatsache, dass man die Downloadgeschwindigkeit lt. der Anleitung zunächst auf 80% (bei mir 2458 kbit/s) der max. Downloadgeschwindigkeit (bei mir 3072 kbit/s) setzen sollte.
Wenn ich es richtig verstehe, ist es nicht möglich mit aktiviertem QoS die maximale Bandbreite zu nutzen?!
Wird die Bandbreite dann immer bei der 80%-Grenze "gedeckelt"? Das heisst, selbst wenn nur ein Client online ist, hat dieser 20% weniger Bandbreite zur Verfügung als wenn ich QoS abschalten würde und falls anschlussseitig irgendwann mal mehr als DSL3000 zur Verfügung steht stünden mir trotzdem nur die (bsp.) 2458 kbit/s zur Verfügung solange ich die Einstellung nicht anpasse?
Ich habs jetzt einfach mal getestet und kann berichten, dass man auch als einziger Client nicht mehr Geschwindigkeit bekommt, als man unter Uplink und Downlink einträgt. Die max. Datenrate wird durch den dort eingetragenen Wert also tatsächlich gedeckelt.
Nun soll es lt. Beschreibung ja zu Problemen, wenn man 100% seiner Down-/Uploadgeschwindigkeit einträgt:
