I spent much of my weekend trying to figure out how to get DD-WRT to mount a USB harddrive.

After following all of the tutorials that I could find, I ended up flashing my router and starting over thinking that it was possible that maybe I had a bad flash?

After hours of trying different solutions, I found an article by someone who had struggled with this themselves.

Apparently, a soft reset with the power button (Power Off, wait 10 seconds, Power On) allows the Netgear WNR3500L-100NAS to recognize the USB port.

I wanted to just post this in hopes that someone else may find this tip as helpful as I did. Laughing
