Hello Everyone
I'd like to contribute USD $100 to the cause - if support for the WNR3500L v2 is still possible. Can you please tell me the best way to make a device-specific donation, which from I read, needs to be directed to BrainSlayer?
The correct way is to contact either Brainslayer or <Kong> and make sure that the donation is wanted and that either of them have time to do the port.
Donating money is preferred if the device is available in Europe - it saves customs problem and freight cost.
If not available in Europe then the donor will have to buy it and send it to Germany.
Brainslayer is very busy, <Kong> is a Netgear fan so he may be the appropriate developer to do a WNR3500Lv2 port.

I'm also willing to donate a router. haav reported back in November 2012 that he donated a router. However, support status for this device is still listed as "donated router needed for porting" (http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices#Netgear). Can you please confirm whether or not you guys still need a router?
Please hold your horses for a few days, Brainslayer will check what happened with the donated 60 Euro which is just about enough to purchase a router in Germany if available there.
The earlier donated WNR3500Lv2 may have been returned to sender by German customs, this happens if it arrived without a proper customs declaration and has happened when the power adapter was not CE approved. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
The donated router did never arrive which may have its explanation in the donor/poster disappearing from the forum immediately after promising the donation..
The 60Euro donation arrived but the router is discontinued and may not even have been sold in Europe by Netgear distributors. R6200 replaced it so it got a short life.
Available today on Amazon and Ebay is a few refurbished ones but they are not virgin - they come with Tomato preloaded so they don't reflect what a factory unit is.
Brainslayer has agreed to try doing a port if someone can dump the cfe and the nvram partition.
The board_data partition would also be good to have.
cfe and board_data is not changed by running 3rd party firmware, can come from any 3500Lv2 but it would be good if someone have a virgin nvram or a router running stock firmware where it can be dumped from.
Anyone up for the task? _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
i enabled telnet, but not sure about the commands and dump cfe, nvram, might be possible to mount usb and copy files into it to make the procedure easier.
Not yet that I know of - if there's a procedure written down somewhere on how to get the required data off the router, I haven't found it yet, or I glazed right over it while searching.
I R dumm N00b when it comes to anything more involved than flashing the firmware onto the router and configuring. :)
I've got one. Brand new in a box. Plastic too AFAIK.
There is a second one which I think has a myopenrouter / Netgear built dd thingy on it. I'd like to keep that one.
Where do I send it ??
I ended up with them just on the change over to v2, I jumped to Cisco/Linksys E3000s

pm <Kong> and ask if he wants to port it, I think he will.
It would be good for the Broadcom K26 development if he had a mips based router among all his arm based ones. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
