How is the progress on this topic?

What can we do, to support the dd-wrt-team to port the firmware on the TL-WR842ND? Are there any further information needed?

Yeah !!! I'm waiting the firmware like a 9 years child wait it's birthday gift Laughing I use my one with openWRT, samba and transmission, if some of the developers need some info and I can help, I will !
