Hardware: D-Link DIR-320
Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (02/06/09) mega (from eko, booting from USB flash)

The problem: there are no debug messages from pppd in syslog.

There are debug messages from pptp. I've also used logger to check that syslog shows messages with debug level.

I run pppd manualy this way:
Code:

/usr/sbin/pppd nodetach debug file /tmp/ppp/options logfile /tmp/ppp/log ; echo $?

/tmp/ppp/options contents:
Code:

defaultroute
usepeerdns
pty 'pptp 10.255.0.2 --nolaunchpppd'
user 'ppphds2354_1'
nomppe
noccp
default-asyncmap
nopcomp
noaccomp
novj
nobsdcomp
nodeflate
lcp-echo-interval 0
noipdefault
lock
noauth
debug
kdebug 1

The syslog output:
Code:

Jan  1 02:20:41 DD-WRT pppd[11538]: pppd 2.4.4 started by root, uid 0

As you can see, there are only "started" and "exit" messages from pppd.

How do I manage to see the debug messages from pppd?

I am also interested by this issue (on an atheros model). Did you find a way to have the debug working ?
