I also recently bought a dir-615 H2. I hope you can make the port work, my D revision one is working brilliantly as a repeater using DD-WRT and I hope to do the same with this one

Bump.

Would be awesome with a build for my new router. Getting long grey hairs with the original firmware it came with..

But according to that thread new build didn't work for D-Link DIR615 Rev. H1. So I guess the problem is still open. Sad

Yeah, I couldn't get it to run on a H1 device. Maybe it works with a H2 one.

I don't think this is a hardware problem but maybe a stock firmware version difference based on sales region, not unusual for D-Link..

So for those who flash dd-wrt, please report your stock firmware version, region and failure/success to load dd-wrt.

DIR-615 H1, stock firmware was 801DE (according to the sticker on the device). Was upgraded to 803DEb02.

Flashing dd-wrt does not work with 803DEb02 nor 802DEb05. 801DE is not available anywhere.

Input from more users needed.

I'll ask to have this thread moved to Ralink section of the forum where we can continue.

Dlink DIR-615 rev H1
Firmware Version : 8.01

Dd-wrt with no factory in the name. The router denies.

Dd-wrt WITH factory in the name, it looks like it's upgrading, but it's not working, just keep lighting orange.

Have tried both from dlink web access and from emergency room. Tried several times.

I'm back on crappy dlink stock firmware now to have internet Smile

same here:

I tried ftp://www.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2012/06-06-12-r19327/dlink-dir615h/

-no success via WebInterface
-no success via "Emergency Room"

It looks like it is updating.
There is no error message during the update.
After the update the router is not reachable via ping or browser.
Power LED is orange (should be green).

Had to go back to the Dlink FW...

Dlink DIR-615 rev H1
Dlink FW Ver: 8.01DE

DIR-615 H1

Updated Dlink FW from v8.01 to v8.03.
Tried to flash via WebInterface with the dd-wrt FW: dlink-dir615h-factory-webflash.bin
Seems to be successfull, but same as with 8.01: LED is orange. No ping, No WebInterface.
Tried the same with the „Emergency Room“, same result: LED is orange. No ping, No WebInterface.

So I went back to the Dlink FW v8.03 Sad
