Yes H1 is somehow different fro m H2, so the only way to fix that is that someone with an H1 sends it to Germany (it's no longer on sale.)

You can actually get a H2 for 25$ now if you are lucky, so maybe someone can pick a H2 up and donate their old H1 for the best of the community? That way you can have dd-wrt today, and all the rest of the H1 owners hopefully within a few weeks.

Hello,

Is there anyone who has made successfuly running the DIR-615 H2 as a repeater or client Bridge wifi ?
This is impossible for me.
The DIR-615 H2 router does not connect to my primary router by WIFI (ping is not working).

Thanks for any sharing experience

Great news! A new build is available which WORKS for rev.H1

ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2012/07-20-12-r19519/dlink-dir615h/

It will automatically assign a new IP via DHCP.Basically all you need to do is to login to 192.168.1.1 and configure your internet connection.

Now,my problem after installing dd-wrt is that the internet speed has decreased significantly although it shows connected with 135 Mbps.
Using the default settings.

Damn, that's great news Very Happy

Can't wait till monday so I can test it, on my parents router.

I have dir615d and have been using dd-wrt for a long time, it's so nice, stable and quick.
No need to reboot the router anymore Smile

My speed jumped up from 80 to 93 Mbps compared to the original firmware on an H1. And there are no connection drops anymore. Good job! Cool

Only the VPN option isn't working, it returns a white page.

The H-version of DIR-615 has (as most of the other DIR-615 versions) only 4MB of flash so no space for OpenVPN.
It will never be included in dd-wrt for this router.

And you're both using : dlink-dir615h-factory-webflash.bin ?

Worked fine here on H1

Okay, don't know if it would work, but you could always try to go back to dlink firmware, and the back to the newest dd-wrt firmware.

The previous firmware didn't work in H1
