I just received a MI424WR Rev. I today as a part of an upgrade to Verizon's "Quantum" speeds. I'll happily ship it to someone who wants to work on getting DD-WRT on it, with the assumption that I get it back when complete!

I'm presuming someone has surely looked at the source at http://opensource.actiontec.com/sourcecode/mi424wr/rev_i/mi424wr-fw-40.19.20-readme

appears to use jungo for the bootloader.... Now interestingly enough, this page gives the impression that the provided source code is everything you need to build the complete 40.19.20 firmware from source. (MOCA?).. even goes on to tell you how to go about installing the newly compiled firmware onto the device.

Would love to see this router supported.... seems like it would be an absolute beast running dd-wrt

seems one can access quite a bit of info from the busybox shell on this beasty

Linux version 2.6.16.14feroceon #1 Tue Oct 11 12:32:09 PDT 2011

the MOCA binaries are sitting in there too... wonder if they could be copied off, and used in a build... sort of like how cyanogenmod gets around licensing with Android and google's proprietary binaries... since they're already licensed to the device owner, copying them off, and copying them back is legal.

Sorry to bring this old thread back. But has anyone made progress with Rev. I of this router? I have received a replacement for my Rev. D router and would like to run DD-WRT.

I have checked the router database and Rev. I is not listed.

I have the rev I model and would be willing to whatever is needed for you guys. Just let me know what info you need, or what you would like me to do. I am far from a novice when it comes to I.T., networking, but far from knowing it all. Ask and you shall receive.
