Router: Trendnet TEW818DRU
DD-WRT: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/27/14) std - build 23808

Issue:

I've had DD-WRT running for three days now.

When attempting to login to certain secure sites, the browser is unable to complete the request. This has happened with PayPal, and with java.com download. I have tried different browsers running on different machines (OS-X, and Linux).

I took the router out of the loop, and connected directly to the cable modem. The problem went away.

To fix the problem, I've had to reboot the router. This has happened several times now over a period of 48 hours.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, and is there any known fix?

Thanks!

I've done some experimenting. I rebooted both the router and the cable modem, and that fixed the problem. I configured the router to reboot each night (okay--it's a known issue that the reboot feature doesn't always work), and that has kept the lockup problem and dropped audio/video streams from recurring.

I'd still be interested in hearing from anyone else who's had this issue. Thanks!
