Hi, I just purchased a used E3000. I am doing my research before I flash for the first time. In the Linksys E3000 Wiki, line 5 states "Log into Web Interface and flash the firmware E3000 Trailed Initial Flash Build". When I click this link for the Initial Flash Build I get the following build
"dd-wrt.v24-14929_NEWD-2_K2.6_std_usb_ftp-e3000.bin" at
4.8MB size. Is this the correct "Initial Flash Build"?
I want to avoid bricking the E3000. Should I use a
17xxx build?
Thanks Jethroww

Yes. It is correct.

It is the second build that you flash that runs the risk of bricking that router....

Hi Murrkf, Great. Then if I decide for a big or mega
build it would have to be a e2k-e3k/e3000 build.
Thanks for the help. Jethroww
