Success upgrading firmware on my RT-N12 operating as AP.
Running DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/07/12) mini
(SVN revision 18946M NEWD-2 K2.6 Eko)
Note, I would like to run a second RT-N12 as a repeater but have also not been able to do so as reported by others. So that is still using Asus firmware.
Just finished loading 18946 mini on an E3000. So far so good except the web GUI isn't available via HTTPS (only HTTP). Tried disabling it and re-enabling it.
Some of the newly supported models use an external amplifer rather than the internal one eg the E1500 or any other model cisco linksys with 'speedbooster' - is this feature properly supported or is the txpower setting non functional on models which use the external amps?
E1200 internal amp, E1500 external amp.
With the new build , I have default of 71mw for txpower with E1500 and DDWRT, however the TX error rate is very high
Transmitted (TX)
47%
2561784 OK, 2882174 errors
I have to reboot the router to clear the error rate and eventually it drops to 50% anyway. Have tried very slow and high txpower setting in router and client. Using 20MHz clients and both mini and mega builds. Otherwise the firmware is OK and flashing from stock was painless.
When my RT-N12B1 is in Repeater Mode and the physical interface and the virtual interface(s) are set to different security modes (e.g. WEP and WPA2), wireless devices cannot connect to the virtual interface.
This configuration works properly in 16785, but not in 18946.
Other than that, I have had no problems with my RT-N12 (ver 1, not B1) repeater in build 14896.
Is anyone having problems running separate (i.e. put in a separate bridge) VAPs. This was working fine using Eko 17084. I get an ip address just fine but I can't connect to the internet on the VAP's.

Hello,
I use a E2000 and a E3000 Connect with Wireless Distribution System. With version 16785 no problems to connect. With these firmware i can't connect. Is it broken?

Got the initial firmware working for my E1200 v2, but then installing the OpenVPN nv64k firmware package bricked it.
Started a new thread here to request assistance if anyone knows how to get the router into management mode or otherwise force a new firmware onto the router: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=153422

You need to enable afterburner on speedboost routers, and also change wireless preamble to auto.

Upgraded my E1550 to the mega image, most everything seems to be working fine so far. The only thing I noticed is that if I choose to reset to factory defaults in this build, the router doesn't come back until I power cycle. I don't remember this being the case in previous builds. Not sure if that's a bug or not.

Repeater/client modes still completely broken, does absolutely nothing..
Please explain more, I have tested repeater bridge on my E2500 connected to my asus n66u without a problem.
And I'm using an E3000 as a client bridge with this revision....
I am using an E900 w/18946 mini as a client bridge to and E3000 w/16994.
Works perfectly. It seems that bridging is very dependent on the router and the version. _________________ Linksys E900 dd-wrt v24-sp2 18946 mini

Repeater/client, not bridge. Selecting either of them with the proper SSID of the host unit & security etc, nothing happens it doesn't even connect or try to its like the radio is off. No security gives the same result. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)
