Was wondering if I can flash a smaller build once I have a ea2700 version on it or do I have to stick with only ea2700 builds.

If I can only use the hardware specific builds how do I request a minimal build?

25887 was pulled and replaced with 25948
seems to be faster than the previous releases for me

Router: Cisco EA2700
Firmware: dd-wrt-25760-ea2700.trx
Status: Upgrade Successful

- No Wireless 5 GHz

- Set-up router as Repeater/Repeater Bridge: No Internet Connection, then around 1.5 days later router became bricked (ping 192.168.1.1: failed; cannot access GUI admin. page)

- Managed to recover router and restore stock firmware

For those who have a problem with the return to the original firmware after several restarts, the problem has been fixed, see here: http://svn.dd-wrt.com/changeset/25945
So with latest firmware (25948) there is no more need add the following lines "nvram set partialboots=0" and
"nvram commit " to startup to get prevent switch back to stock firmware, thanks BrainSlayer.

But another problem running router out off memory after temporarily disable Wireless with command "wl radio off" still present and get router randomly reboot (mostly if router is under high load because high traffic over Internet).
Hope that this will also be repaired as soon as possible.

I can't seem to find this latest build that fixes the reset to old firmware problem, can anyone point me to it?

The latest I can seem to find is 25697

Thanks, Ivan

I flash this firmware 25948 after that try to update with new version ,because the interface of this version is very slow.Unfortunately instead to update firmware it returns to the original router.
Do you have idea what happens. Which version i choose?

Versions 25948 and 25974 work but still have many bugs, if you choose older version add this commands to router startup to prevent return router to original firmware:
nvram set partialboots=0
nvram commit

Don't choose latest 3 versions (26XXX) this not work with router, maybe softbrick it.

FEEDBACK - "dd-wrt-25760-ea2700"

1 - Speed only 60 to 70mbps Down

Hi,

I have tried the last version of 2013 and the first of 2014 from the ftp (ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2014/01-10-2014-r23320-fix/linksys-ea2700/)

I have tried a speedtest with the original firmware and those two versions of dd-wrt, and I can't reach my 150mbps DOWN and 10mbps UP, I get roughtly about 60 to 70mbps DOWN and 10mbps UP.

Has anyone else been able to have better speeds on over the WAN port? What are your test results?

I know this firmware isn't final nor stable.

Thanks

This problem affects those firmwares:
- dd-wrt-25760-ea2700
- FW_EA2700_1.0.14.129982 (classic Linksys)

SOLUTION:
The unique solution that I've found is using the newest firmware Linksys:

- FW_EA2700_1.1.40.162751_prod (the horrible Smart-Wifi)

==================================

2 - It doesn't support some connections 1Gbps

Successfully upgraded to latest firmware. But like previous firmware, after setting up the router to pppoe mode, I could not access to the control panel page of dd-wrt.

Any advise? Many thanks!

I have latest build installed, i am using a PPPOE WAN Conmection and everything is fine. I can still access the web interface.

Do a hard reset and try again.

Turned out it was an "auto negotiation" problem on my laptop Realtek NIC. I turned off the "auto negotation" and set the Speed & Duplex to 100 Mbps Full Duplex

i have a similar problem. one of my devices is a laptop that has a realtek PCIe GBe card. it was working fine on linksys firmware (speed of 1.0 Gbps). now on dd-wrt it does not work, even if i set speed to 100mbps, i get a yellow ! mark and i cannot ping router.

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=870905

SOLUTION:

The partial solution was mentioned, setup my 3 desktops using:

"Intel I217-V Gigabit" and "Realtek PCIe GBE"

Change the "Auto Negociation" to "100Mbps Half Duplex"

==================================

3 - Dynamic IP (DHCP) to WAN not work. No internet for no one of my PCs. Works only LAN.

-----------------

FEEDBACK - "dd-wrt-25948-ea2700"

Can't access GUI to setup, extremely slow.

-----------------

FEEDBACK - "dd-wrt-25974-ea2700"

Can't access GUI to setup, extremely slow.

==================================

Someone know if there is another firmware that fix this problems?

Thanks

Same here.
Tried to update from Linksys app firmware, LS Stock, previous dd-wrt built, with or without 30/30/30. No go.
built 25974 works (lan/wan speed a bit slower though) Rolling Eyes

Hello,
Since latest releases 26xxx (all 3) I can not boot the device. I must use tftp boot to reflash the router.

If a dd-wrt guru have time to understand the next kernel panic found with 26136 (I've done a TTL dump of the error):

Hello everyone,

I've read all 28 pages AFTER having aparrently briked a ea2700, yeah I know....

It seems I flashed one of the bugged 26xxx releases.

Here are the steps I performed:

1- flashed FW_EA2700_1.0.14.129982.SSA (classic)
1b - reboot back to UI
2- flashed the latest 26xxx ddwrt.
2b- Boot loop...
3- 30/30/30 hard reset.
3b- boot and lock up.

I noticed the router went into a boot loop after it finished the flash process.

The unit responds to pings on 192.168.1.1 for about 15 secs or so.

I've tried to TFTP the following files without success:
1-FW_EA2700_1.0.14.129982.SSA
2-FW_EA2700_1.1.40.162751_prod.SSA
3-dd-wrt-25628-ea2700.trx

In all cases the file transfer finishes, the router reboots, responds to about 15 seconds worth of pings and then dies on me. In some cases after the TFTP transfer the router goes into a boot loop again.

I've tried flashing the same file twice and have also used the 30/30/30 hard reset procedure before each TFTP transfer.

All this was done using xubuntu 14.04 and tftp 0.17-18ubuntu2

TFTP commands:
tftp> connect 192.168.11.1
tftp> verbose
tftp> binary
tftp> trace
tftp> rexmt 1
tftp> timeout 60
**when router returns pings:
tftp> put <file to upload>

Any help or comments would be much appreciated.
