I have OTRW installed on an RT-N16 with Asterisk Asterisk 1.8.6.0. More particulars are in my signature. Sometimes * goes down and I need to manually restart it. Obviously this is undesirable: what are the path \ steps to isolating the problem?

Is there a simple way to monitor this? Maybe a cron job to restart it if it find asterisk is not running?

root@ASUS:~# service asterisk status
asterisk is not running
root@ASUS:~# service asterisk on
Usage: /opt/etc/init.d/S90asterisk (start|stop|restart|usage|status)
root@ASUS:~# service asterisk start
Start service "asterisk" (/opt/etc/init.d/S90asterisk)
service: Start service: "asterisk" (/opt/etc/init.d/S90asterisk)
Starting asterisk
Signalling xinetd to reread config for asterisk

I'm now running into the same issue. Did you find a solution for this?

Code:
df -h

revealed there was no disk space, due to an enormous log file.

I've been busy with life events, so I have not verified that this has solved the problem.
