|
Network setup is as follows:
Host AP: DIR-825 B1 r18777, this is the main router for the entire house
Client mode AP: WNDR3700 v1 r18777, this is my connection method for internet as im in a basement room & the setup works well.
My question that remains unanswered is should I disable SPI firewall on my WNDR3700 as its connected in client mode to the DIR-825 which has SPI firewall enabled? I have my WNDR3700 IP enabled in the DMZ of the DIR-825 though so I can access my VPN/remote GUI status page from WAN as well as some P2P software to properly function (that don't work well with UPnP). I know with client mode SPI only needs to be on on the host AP, but with the client AP also in DMZ, does that still apply or not? As DMZ only opens all PORTS & nothing more yes? NAT is still enabled on the WNDR3700. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)
