I searched the forum and did not find anything on this.

Here is what I am trying to do.

I am using dd-wrt {dd-wrt v24-sp2 (12/18/10) mini} on 2 Linksys WRT310N routers.

Router #2 is setup as a PPTP client only.

Router #1 is setup as a client and a server.
Client side is going to my office, connecting my home network to my office. Server side is acting as the server to router #2 (router at my parents house to bring their network online with my home).

Here is what happens. When I set router 1 as client only, I can access my home network from the office no problems. When I activate the server side, I can no longer access router 1 from my office. When I get home and turn off the PPTP server, access from the office returns. I have tried making adjustments from the office to router 1 and if I turn on PPTP server, the connection to my router drops.

Am I trying to do something that is not possible? Might I have a setting wrong?

Here are the settings for server:
port 1723 is forwarded
PPTP Server = En
Broadcast = Dis
Force MPPE = En
DNS1 = {blank}
DNS2 = {blank}
WINS1 = {blank}
WINS2 = {blank}
Server IP = 192.168.15.2 (internal addy not in use)
client IP = 192.168.15.200-250
CHAP-secrets = {user} * {pass} *

Thank you in advance for your help.

I apologize if I was unclear. Let's see if I can explain this.

There are (3) networks here in play.
1) = office (not under my control)
2) = home (totally mine)
3) = parents (I control)

make sense?

My office has given me access to join my home network to the office network. To do this, I am using a Linksys WRT310N router flashed with dd-wrt. I setup the client PPTP to tunnel to my office allowing me to access my work computer from home and my home computer from work. This part works great.

Now, there are times when I have to work on my parents computers and I can do it remotely, if I have a connection. So, what I wanted to do is create a second PPTP tunnel from their house to mine. So I have a second ddwrt router at their house, setup as a PPTP clientto go back to my router.

Here is where it gets odd/tricky/whatever you want to call it.

I want to activate the server PPTP on my home router, allowing my parents router to tunnel into mine. This should create a network between my parents and me. At the same time, I want to leave the client active on my home router so I stay connected to my office. Does this help, or do I have a pipe dream that I just need to get over?...lol
