I have a ddwrt flashed Wndr3700, client bridged to my wndr4500 on the 5 ghz range.
Im new to networking so im still trying to get the gist of everything. I have most of the basics down and my connection from the 3700 to my 4500 is usually good. But every hour or so when i go online, the internet would cut out, and i would have to reset my router until the next time it happens. When this happens, The Tx shows transmission rate but the Rx shows N/A.
I messed with ack timing (now at 1800) tx power (24 dbm) and antennae gain (4dbi)
Also, i dunno if this is related to the other problem of P2P applications like bittorrent, downloading would be fine but after a couple mins of upload, the connection would die again and i would have the same problem listed above.
i have the settings of ip filter settings at
Maximum Ports 65534
TCP Timeout (in seconds) 120
UDP Timeout (in seconds) 90
Ill provide an image when it happens next time.
Again, im kinda new at this so any help or advice would be appreciated
that would probably make the connection a bit more stable
but client bridge works even with different chipo vendors, i mean, netgear and linksys offer client bridge adapters for gaming consoles and they work without dropping connections.
I am pretty sure my problem has something to do with the settings for my wireless bridge.

Thats client bridge, this is WDS. Different setup. But a problem I do see based on what you posted is TCP timeout, I would be your first angry client if you haven't had any yet about virtually everything disconnecting every 2 minutes. That setting should never drop below 15 mins at minimum (900 seconds) even on neutered units like old 802.11g ones. Max ports to 16384 or 32768, I use 16384 & my TCP timeout is DD-WRT stock at 1 hr (3600 seconds), UDP is fine but DO NOT go below what it is currently. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)
