hi, I'm looking to buy a router and install ddwrt on it that would allow me to give wireless access to guests but hide all the wired computers from the guests.

Can anyone recommend a specific router and ddwrt configuration that would allow that?

Thanks

I am a total novice at this too, but my first thought would be to get another wireless router and run it just with a power supply, no Ethernet hard wired, and running in Repeater mode.
Not Repeater Bridge mode as this then bridges the networks.

If my understanding of how this mode works, it allow the DHCP server at the AP end of the system to give out IP addresses and internet sharing, but it does not 'bridge ( or connect) ' the networks connected to each router

thanks for the suggestions.

I've tried wiring this up as a second router but it still shows all the computers in the network

Check to see if your second wireless router that you are using is set to either client or repeater mode. NOT bridge mode

As Insaid in my first reply, I am novice at this too
Maybe my understanding of what bridge does and does not do is flawe'd

May be try a hard reset 30/30/30 and setup again?
