I just wanted to say thanks to the author of http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Recover_from_a_Bad_Flash - I successfully used it 10 minutes ago to recover a "bricked" WRT54GL via TFTP. A previous update had failed and the power LED was blinking constantly. Fortunately, the router was still accessible via TFTP and that wiki page gave me all I needed to know.
