I acquired a Linksys WRT300N V1 that is flashed with Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/12/10) mini Build 14929 and I'm having a problem with it that I haven't encountered before.
Whenever I try to change a setting in the GUI and I click "save" or "apply" the GUI responds correctly for a second or three and then I get a "connection timed out" "the server at 192.168.1.1 is taking too long to respond". Mind you this happens within a second or three and not in the usual time that one would expect see this message normally.
The setting does not take and I can get back to the GUI by entering the address (192.168.1.1) in the browser and hitting enter..
I tried the 30/30/30 reset to no avail.
Anyone know of a solution for this? Or a cause? Since I did not flash this router I do not know if the procedure was done correctly.

Wow, that was too easy. Thank you. I'll try to come up with something harder next time.
The answer will probably STILL be in the peacock announcement.
Give it a read to separate the hard from the easy. _________________ SIG:
