WDS Bridge with 2x NanoStationM2 but with WEP encryption???

Hi there,

I need to configure a WDS bridge from one Nanostation to another.
At the "WDS station" I need a Wireless mode B (11MBit) wifi with WEP encryptet because of the clients...
So I created there a virtual Wifi for the clients.

For the first test I configured everything with WPA encryption and everything worked fine...
I was able to ping and open the Webinterface of both Nanostations and had access to the wired network.

But when I changed the encryption for the virtual Wifi from WPA to WEP it stopped working.
So I thought I also have to change the WDS- Bridge encryption from WPA to WEP.
Also not working. I was able to ping the WDS_Station but not the WDS_AP. Wasn't able to access the Webinterfaces Sad

Do somebody have any idea where the bug is?

Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 SVN 18777

mach mal nas heutige beta drauf.

wep*schauder*
kann gut sein dass ath9k da stress macht. ist auch bestimmt kein primaeres developmet goal

danke für die schnelle Info.
Bin eben dabei die neue FW zu flashen...

Was ich gerne noch wissen würde:
Kann die encryption im WDS und im virtual Wifi unterschiedlich sein oder muss die zwingend die selbe sein?

Hmm, leider funzt es noch immer nicht.
Die WDS_station connected sich zum WDS_AP mit WEP, jedoch ist ein Ping untereinander nicht möglich. Sad

Woran liegt das? Über WPA klappt das sofort...

Leider brauche ich unbedingt diese Konfiguration mit WEP

Oh und ich merke gerade das jetzt nach dem FW update auch die Verbindung (Ping) mit WPA nicht mehr funktioniert....
Einen "Link" haben die beiden trotzdem.

sicher dass der wds-sta auf b-only steht (also der ganze wds link)? das ist die grundvoraussetzung.
im N mode is wpa pflicht (eigentlich wpa2/aes)

Ja, habe es eben nochmal geprüft.
beide stehen auf B-mode (11MBit)

Upsi, hab da noch nen Fehler drinn gehabt.

Hatte mit der Konfig gespielt und STP auf enable + "Assign Wan to switch" angehakt.
Jetzt hab ich das raus genommen und es fruchtet.
Habe WPA2 als encryption zwischen WDS_AP und WDS_Station + WEP encryption für das virtuelle Wifi...

can you share the settings that you use, ive been trying to do the same with no luck , thanks for any help
