|
Currently I am using a Netgear WNDR3700 v2 with the stock firmware (was DD-WRT a couple times) due to one feature: the monthly traffic monitoring feature is far better than DD-WRT's.
I'm looking at getting a new router, probably an Asus RT-AC66U or Netgear N6200 for pure speed and grunt horsepower. Unfortunately, it seems that the AC routers aren't working with DD-WRT yet so that may have to wait.
In the meantime is there a way to get a decent monthly bandwidth tracking similar to Netgear's that works in DD-WRT? I want something that I can at least track total up and download with breakdown of each and the ability to have it reset the count on a specific day/time to coincide with my ISP's reset with billing.
As an example, my billing cycle starts on the 15th of each month and my monthly allotment starts on the 15th as well. I would like the count to start at 12:00:00am and run until 11:59:59pm on the 14th of the following month. I would also like to view previous months usage for reference at later dates.
Is this possible through BWMon or OTRW2? Or is there a better method?
On a side note, one of the reasons I need to use DD-WRT is to set up the router as a site-site VPN client and DD-WRT does this where most (all?) home routers do not. |
