Hey guys,

I've got a couple questions for you all. I have a client bridge set up as per the wiki "Client Bridged" article and it is working just fine. I have this set up.

Modem -> Main Router (RT-AC68U) -> Client Bridge (E3200).

I connect several IP security cameras and a NAS to the Client Bridge through the LAN ports. The cameras record directly to the NAS when motion is detected. The question is, for security reasons, if the Main Router loses power or malfunctions, will the devices connected to the Client Bridge still function (will the cameras still record to the "local" NAS)?

In that setup I would use the nas ip as target and gateway in the camera network config.

How does that work? What benefits do I get with this method?

It insures the camera is going direct to the nas and not looking to the router for a pointer.

What did you mean by "nas ip as target?" and would this affect networking in any way? Like, can I still connect to the camera with my laptop on the main router?
