I have an E3000 DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/12/10) mega - build 14929. Randomly it will drop all wireless clients. It continues to broadcast an SSID but you are unable to connect to it.

To test if its the wireless radio I set up a second router, Buffalo WHR-G125 Firmware Version DD-WRT v24-sp1 (07/27/0Cool std - build 10011 to act simply as an access point. Wireless is completely disabled on the E3000 but it still handles all routing functions. The issue persists. Wired computers maintain a connection. It seems completely random as to when the wireless will drop out.

Any ideas?

Also my Buffalo works like a champ a router, it just cant keep up with my 50 meg connection.

It would depend on what kind of settings you have for the wireless connection. Broadcom routers generally only work "reliably" with AES encryption. If you have it set to any combination with TKIP, then that could be a reason. It may also be interference from other routers.

Any number of reasons. Need more information about environment/settings.

See http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=525650 for tweaking the wireless of an E3000. If stated "I have many clients" and you don't have many clients you may choose the contrary setting.
