Hi!

I've installed the latest dd-wrt firmware on my Fonera router, which I'm now running in bridged mode.

1. The router is connected to my LAN switch,
2. which in turn connects it to my main router
3. and then to my ISP through ADSL.

After I flashed dd-wrt on to the Fonera router, I've noticed that it is broadcasting on the LAN every second or so (haven't checked WLAN yet). Today I thought that I would like to know what it is broadcasting, so I checked with tcpdump on a computer directly connected to the switch.

Here's what I got:

Code:
13:53:12.572532 802.1d config 8000.00:18:84:23:2b:f9.8001 root 8000.00:18:84:23:2b:f9 pathcost 0 age 0 max 20 hello 2 fdelay 0

Any ideas about what this means? Notice the "hello" - what's that for? Can I stop this behavior in some easy way? If you'd like to help me but need more info, please ask. =)
