My question belong to users not to admin nor to gurus of this forum.
Since i read posts here about some Ubiquiti airmax devices being flashed with DD-WRT Firmware, it look likes there's still a lot of bugs even in the latest firmware.
In your own personal experience, as users (i have some nanostation m2 needing to be flashed), how would you define the usability and the stability of a running DD-WRT firmware being on a Ubiquiti device. As good or bad, what is your opinion ?
Finally in theses firmwares, in the services/hotspot tab, is there wifidog include ? That's very important for me cause i have a authpuppy server running fine and more than fine with my dd-wrt routers having wifidog spec. I talk about "these" firmware cause for a given Ubiquiti device there is a lot of versions accessible to flash a ubiquiti specific device.

I actually like ddwrt on ubiquiti gear bullets/picos and we have a fair few ...but i dont use it on our nanostationsM5 i use airOS as it does a great job with our backhaul links.
Roln, yes i agree with you, my question in essence is not very clear.
In fact, i'm surprised to read so many messages who are obviously negative about Ubiquiti flashed with DD-WRT.
My opinion about DD-WRT is very good on all the devices, that i owned, flashed and based from DD-WRT till more than a year now.
I did read a lot before making DD-WRT the one and only firmware of many routers brand that i owned
Now, That's what i do now for Ubiquiti devices, i read peoples experiences. I never flashed any of my ubiquiti routers, antenna, access points and so on with DD-WRT. I do have to pay for it too even if it's cheap (20 box ...)
So that's why i made this post, having peoples opinions whatever these opinions are good or not.
And i'm still asking these opinions as far as peoples can tell it.
its easy to explain why there are so much problems with ubtn units, cause ubnt makes it hard for 3rd party vendors to keep up with their bootloader and hw rev. changes...they want other to have trouble with their hw. _________________ Forum Guidelines...How to get help
