DD-WRT is wonderful! I want to thank the developers and the myriad of forum posters, FAQ writers and WIKI contributors who made my first foray into this arcane world a rewarding, sometimes challenging, experience. 

This journey began with an iPad and a WiFi router purchase the first of April. Took a trip, paid for one month of a VPN service, planned another trip for the end of June, researched cheaper VPN solutions.

Found this site. Couple of days reading and off I went.

Flashed easy, solved my initial WiFi connection problem by re-reading, forwarded ports for WOL, remote desktop, and a printer service. Took a breath two more days of reading brought up the VPN and PPTP. No problems. It all works! Even get better range.
