Hy,

So I got a 4G plan with a ZTE MF820D and in 18777 I couldn't connect this modem at all. Updated today to the latest build, the 19xx something something (sorry not plugged to the router right now) and after the firmware upgrade and after setting the correct parameters (USB support, apn, etc) the darn thing worked like a charm!!

When I finished testing I was placing the router in its definite position (so that the usb modem was nearer the window) and accidently knocked it 2m on the floor....Sad

Reconnected it and apparently all was well, except that the 4G modem wouldn't connect anymore (wouldn't get an IP)...

tested it a few dozen times and nothing so I gave up (this afternoon). Now I retried and all of the sudden I could connect again!

Then, nplugged, re-plugged and back to square 1...

What can I do? How to know if it's a hardware issue due to my stupid distraction or some instability from the own firmware? Anyone else having this issue?

Please help!

Ok, I'm betting that the culprit was the nasty fall that the router made, but just in case, could you please have a look at the dmesg thingie (yeah, that's how much I know command lines Sad

anyone please?!

Isn't there anobody out there with the ZTE MF820D and firmware 19324?

Apparently, everything's ok with the hardware, as i took the router to this guy that fixes computers and he tested the voltages on many circuitry and everything seemed fine (there is just one part hidden beneath a case soldered to the motherboard, and unless the problem was there, apparently the problem would be the interaction dd-wrt + 4G modem... Sad
