Hi all,
I'm writing from the high antarctic plateau, where we live and work in a scientific station isolated 9months at year.
(Concordia Station)
For the low temperatures (-70°C) we lost a F/O connection between the main switch and another located 1km far from the station. We think to sobstitute the F/O with an ubiquity nanostation M5 radio link, but the original AirMax SW cannot provide the VLAN transport between the two trunk port of the two swich. We need to transport 6 VLAN from the main switch and the remote one. So we buy the dd-wrt software and flashed the devices.
All seems work properly, but still we cannot transport the VLAN as we can see only the computers in the network of the radio link.

How can we configure the dd-wrt sw to act as a "cable connection" between the two switch to make a VLAN trunk?

We will appreciate any help...

Oh yes the ubnt resist down to -40°C but we use appropriate case as the temperature in winter will go down to -84°C...
Well we have read all that we can, but conside rthat we have only a 64kbps satellite internet connection, twice a day when we do the email synconization... so we have limited capacity of googling etc.
We will very apreciate if you can address us to an how-to or a instruction page.
For the moment the configuration is "client bridge (routed)" and works only for the devices in the network of the bridge, but not for the devices in other vlan.
The thing we have to replicate is a fiber optic that connect two ports of two switch, the two ports were configured as "trunk" for n vlan. So we wish the radio link act as a fisical cable between the two switch...
I don't know if it is possible...

SOLVED:

but with the new version of AirOS v.5.5 (XM-v5.5.build12536.bin)
We reflash with this new version of AirOS

Configuration:

Network mode: bridge
Wireless mode: AP + Station
Management VLAN: Enabled
Auto Aliasing IP: Enabled

That's all, all the VLAN are correctly transported in trunk to the remote switch and with no need of other GW or other configurations, the link act just as a fisical cable!!
Anyway thanks fot your support, if there is a way to do this also with dd-wrt i will appreciate (we spent 40E to buy the licenses Smile)

So thanks fro your NON-HELP Wink I'm still using the original FW that works well, I suppose with DD-WRT is NOT possible to do a layer2 bridge...
