This is not related to the router or the firmware
I think you have to check the settings on the windows 7 machine .
Enable file sharing .

File sharing IS enabled on both machines, and they're in SAME workgroup. Wink I reinstalled both OS on both machines, and it didn't fix the problem,

@madman999: Yup, the HTTP server works fine. I'm only forwarding port 80. I've also tried to disable to port forwarding, but it didn't fix the problem.

I reinstalled the second PC's OS, and now both have Win7 installed. Still not working...

Same thing with the Buffalo WBMR... I have a win7, xp and debian but none of these can´t ping each other on LAN. WLAN to LAN works fine but the gigabit would still be quite nice when transfering larger files Very Happy

I have a router tp-link tl-wr743nd. I have the same problem. Yesterday for the first time flashed ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2012/06-08-12-r19342/tplink_tl-wr743nv1/
1. If computers are connected to different ports on the router - they do not see each other.
2. if connected via a switch with one port router - see normal.

I have same problem. Now I moved all my devices to the external switch and only have one cable connected to dd-wrt.

Router Model: Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH
Firmware Version: 19342

I'm *glad* that I'm not the only one who's having this problem Twisted Evil I can't downgrage, since it took me a *lot* of time to config everything.

Anyway, I just finixed that other problem I had, i.e. the loopback problem, so now I'm able to connect to my pc using a WAN IP. I've only followed this advice: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=89353&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Cheers!.

I downgrade without reset config.

Thank you for the advice. However I'm not sure if I want to mess with it, since I'm glad that it's even working (I had some problems with flashing it), so I'm rather going to wait for new version, and if it still won't fix the issue, then I'll downgrade. Rolling Eyes

Have a nice day.

So I risked that... and I can confirm that downgrading DOES fix that problem! Yoooohoooo! Twisted Evil What a nasty bug...

Many thanks, ukur Wink

Edit: It also gained *some* performance boost! I've noticed that immediately when I was connecting to localhost server from outside. I hope that it will last...
