Thanks for your advice Smile

Yes, i did all of that except mac-filtering.

The AP works fine for all direct connected clients, including internet connection and encryption.

The bridge for now only gets internet connection, if no encryption is enabled. With encryption, it only gets connection to the other clients, APs, routers, printers, NASs etc in my network, but no internet connection.

hmm, i have to solve my encryption issue to solve my encryption issue...

well, i tried several things over the last weeks, it's not working stable. It works for several hours, maybe days, but then it stops working. No mater if encryption is on or off.

That's nearly the same behaviour i had with the original firmware, so maybe that's a hardware-issue ?!?

maybe someone has a proposal for a different hardware, working with ddwrt as bridge and of course rock stable for month. Question

Update to latest build
Use WA801NDv1 files for updates until the router gets its own build.
Use Webflash bin for update here ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2014/12-15-2014-r25648/tplink_tl-wa801ndv1/

I'm having issues flashing the firmware you linked.

When I try to flash through the Web UI it returns the following error:

Quote:
Upgrade unsuccessfully because the version of the upgraded file was incorrect. Please check the filename.

I have tried changing the file name so it matches the name of factory firmware and it didn't work.

I also tried playing around with the version numbers so it appeared as newer version of firmware than the version running on the device.

Firmware version: 3.12.3 Build 100921 Rel.51406n
Hardware version: WA730RE v1 00000000

Any help would be appreciated

Apologies for very late reply.

Thank you for the link, however it won't work.

I forgot to mention the issue I'm having is when trying to upgrade from factory firmware to DD-WRT.

I've modified the header of the DD-WRT 27506 factory-to-ddwrt build intended for TL-WA801ND v1, so that it will flash on a TL-WA730RE v1 running stock TP-Link firmware.
If the attached build works for you, it can be further updated with any newer-than-27506 webflash build for TL-WA801ND v1.

Disclaimer: I haven't tested the attached build myself, so I'm not responsible in any way if you brick your router.
Please only flash this build if you know how to unbrick it.

Hey there,
I flashed ddwrt a while ago and every time I set it up I lost connection to the web gui and ssh.
I reseted it and got the initial gui back but even if I enable the web gui on port 8080 and the ssh on 22 the ports are still blocked and nothing is accessible.

Is that a known problem?
How to fix it?

Router is working as a wireless repeater.
Everything works fine except that the bandwidth of the virtual interface is very low and seems limited at around 4Mbps. You can see in the attached photo the bandwidth during the two iperf tests between the notebook connected on 65Mbps wifi link and RPI connected through ethernet.
Do you have an idea why the bandwidth is so low and limited?

Hi,

This build (27506) works perfectly on my 730RE V1 that I use as a wireless access point for private and guest wifi.
CPU usage is now around 3% idle which used to be around 40% with version r19342. Also, no more crashes! Yay!

Thank you KrypteX! Wink
