Hardware: Buffalo WZR-1750DHP

I test the following builds:

29264 - 2016/03/17
29218 - 2016/03/07

I found out that the LAN speed is very very low and unstable. The WLAN Speed is much better !!

please, please have a look to the Lan driver and fix it!

Or had anyone a solution for that speed issue for this type of router?

best regards

What do you categorize as bad lan speeds? Post a speed test from speedof.me and speedtest.net.

Hello,

Internet-Speed:
- 100Mbit/s down
- 6Mbit/s up

you can see the WAN->Lan speed is very slow on the
Buffalo WZR-1750DHP.

The Wan->WLan speed of the WZR-1750DHP is equal to the speed on the Buffalo WZR-HP-AG300H.

So the Problem is only the Wan->Lan speed Sad

Do you had any idea whats the reason therefore?

- both Router are setup equal.

- Speedtest is made on the same PC.

best regards

You just have to try builds until you find one that performs well with the features you need. I just reverted back to to 29193 from 29264 and it seems pretty stable. My download speed is only 18Mbit/s, so I don't know if there would be any issues at higher download rates. Before that - 28598 performed well on my WZR-1750.

Thank you for reply, but I try two builds and the result is the same.

Is there anyone with more than 18Mbit download speed on a "WZR-1750DHP"????

The Problem occurs only by Wan <-> Lan connection, Wan <-> WLan speed is ok.

please help I could not sleep the last night Wink

best regards

I too have the same issue with my wzr-1750dhpd, only BS v29002 and v29193 came close to giving me my full wan speeds but not consistently.

I recently used Kong"s v29230 and this version gave me the full wan speed but after about 2 days it went down and not even rebooting the router would fix it.

I went back to an older version of BS's, v25408 with Linux 3.10.60 #3101 SMP Thu Nov 20 01:55:04 CET 2014 armv7l and WAN speeds are at full and it has been so for almost a day now. Try an older build but make sure you reset any CPU/RAM overclock just to be safe.

Check the ethernet speed 10/100/1000 and half/full duplex.

Gigabit ethernet uses all 8 wires in he cable, while fast ethernet uses only 4. A faulty cable may work with fast ethernet when the fault is on the unused wires. A cable chipped with a fast ethernet router may not even have all wires.

--------------------

The Problem is not the wiring or Ethernet Card configuration!

All Internet Speed tests are made with the same PC and only with 2 ethernet cable from Router to Cable-Modem.

----------------------------------------
cable Modem <-Cable 1-> WZR-1750DHP/WZR-HP-AG300H <-Cable 2-> PC

----------------------------------------

I change only the router type for each test!

The Main Problem is the WAN <-> Lan Speed, I need someone with the same Router Type "WZR-1750DHP" and more than 30MBit`s Internet Download Speed who give me some Information?!?!?

best regards

WZR-1750DHP
Xfinity advertised plan
Down: 75mbps
Up: 10mbps

With any recent version of Kong, I get full LAN/WAN/WLAN performance. My recent go-to build is 28600, so I first tested against that.

Build: K3-AC-ARM_28600_2015-12-31

Hard Reset, then tested from a gigabit Ethernet device attached to LAN1

http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5187855050

Perfect..

Moving to BS, the WAN>LAN performance varies wildly. I first thought it was QoS, but my results are across the board. PS, I can normally always reach 100% of my ISP's advertised speeds. Below each QoS mechanism showed varying results, and I chose a local test server known to be only a few hops away. As I watched each stream, the downstream performance did not waver greatly in either direction, however each test quickly pegged at its achieved rate and held steady throughout the test. Upstream results were always positive

Build: BS 03-17-2016-r29264

Hard Reset, then tested from a gigabit Ethernet device attached to LAN1

For all of the below tests, QoS was enabled with a value of 85000 downlink and 11250 uplink. The logic for these values was determined from the following article.

PS- Outside of this problem, I could never get QoS to work correctly until I understood the Comcast definition of advertised vs provisioned rates. I always set QoS according to advertised, however it now works pretty excellent now that I set values based on provisioned rate.
