this build FORMATTED my SD card.. Like a flippen idiot, I plugged in my backup card (thinking the 1st one took a crap) & IT DID IT AGAIN
WTF!
Never got around to test K26 cuz I have been ALL DAY, trying to get this crap sorted out on my TM.
Because I am a glutton for punishment.. I did it again..
Flashed back to 19342.. Got my sd card properly formatted, set everything up as needed.. Made another backup of the card.
reset the router, removed the card, flashed this build.. did a little essential configuring. powered down the router, inserted the card (formatted, partitioned, apps installed, etc.)
powered up the router and yep.. it did it again.. it formatted the card.. wiped it clean. It is not that it did not recognize the card. I could see the activity of the format on the ses light.. it was like a heartbeat.. not a flicker of activity.
my 2gb card with two partitions, was now one partition (full capacity of the card), and now empty.
Change sets 19344 ~ 19351 has to do with LZMA jffs support.. maybe that could have done it. change set 19360, there is a lot of MTD manipulation but that should not effect external storage.. dunno.. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]

so it seems that like 9 users tested this build (based on feedback).
dd-wrt for broadcom seems like it is dieing.. and intentional..
BS.. Have a great day with atheros..
Yea, don't worry, this build on Atheros is been horrible for me and this is on 3 different atheros units (wzr-hp-g300nh, wzr-hp-ag300h, and wndr3700v2). Multiple problems with wireless, roll back and my problem is solved, so yea - most certainly this build is not very good IMHO.
The .chk flashed fine but doesn't allow me to change settings.
I tried flashing the dd-wrt.v24-19519_NEWD-2_K2.6_big-nv64k.bin after the .chk but it didn't want to flash.
I even flashed back to stock netgear firmware and then back to this but it still didn't work.
I've tried flashing with the gui, tftp and even with telnet but with no success.
When flashing with telnet it gave me the following error message: bad trx checksum.
I've tried fixing that but that also didn't help.
I thought the file was corrupt so I also tried dd-wrt.v24-19519_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin but that didn't flash correctly either.

I apologize for my rants about this build.. I was just frustrated. What should have been a 10 ~ 15 minute flash, turned into an all day project..
That said...
Change set 19344 through 19351 have to do with compressing jiffs space.
It seems that the sd card may be considered jffs. I don't have the skills or tools to really understand what it is doing. It may be that it is not formatting the card, but compressing it.
Either way, end result was all data on the card was gone, or no longer accessible. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]

@bw I hear ya
Broadcom development pretty much stall out when Eko left.
Tomato Dev's actually listen to the the users and fix whats wrong. Course Tomato is Broadcom only.
As a side note, I did flash this build to:
WRT160N v3
WRT300N v1.1
WRT350N
WRT400N (I know it's atheros) Working as dual-band ap
No problems flashing testing functionality now. Didn't post cause I didn't think anyone cared anymore. _________________ Peacock Thread-FAQ -- dd-wrt Wiki

Tried this on both my routers:
WRT610Nv1 - Tried putting K2.6 NEWD_2_big on it and got "Upgrade Failed" every time.
E4200v1 - Installed K2.6 big_nv60k w/ 30-30-30 before and after. Installs fine, but drops my 2.4 GHz WDS connection to the WRT610n every few minutes or so while I'm using it (wired OR wireless). It comes back after a minute or so, but it's really annoying (especially since my PS3 won't shut up when I drop connection for a second...haven't even tried playing Diablo 3 since this started. Scared to.) I've seen this on a few builds though, so this may just be a lack of improvement rather than a new bug. _________________ Linksys WRT1900ACv1
