The only problem is that I need a max233 adapter (model
AD233BK) but it's kinda urgent so I can't wait for an
international shipping.
So I was wondering if there are any alternatives?
Thanks for the help!
Hi,
I know this thread is a few months old, but I figured I'd provide my rely anyways, for future search-goers.
When hooking up any sort of Microcontroller such as the arduino up to the linksys serial ports, you won't need a line-level converter (MAX chip), because both the Linksys and the Microcontroller's serial interface is TTL levels, thus you can simply hook the Linksys RX up to the Arduinos TX, and the Linksys TX up to the Arduinos RX.
