Yep, I'm currently running "dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_NEWD.bin"

No WAN IP.

I got it!

Apparently the startup command for MER has changed. I simply changed the Username|Password string into HEX and it worked.

Ok, now it's connecting properly but I have another couple of issues.

5GHz doesn't appear to be working. It looks like it's working on the UI but my devices cant see it. I am also unable to choose channel, the only option is "Auto".

My Acer Laptop has went crazy, lol. I have given it a static lease outside the DHCP range (purely so that I get a nice name when looking at the stats page) and set it up with a static IP. However, it appears to have been given 2 IP addresses, one of them is like 192.254.68.23 or something strange.

I'm using the New Driver build of 23885. Is this something that possibly changing to the Old Driver version would fix?

Thanks again in advance

Ok, I've now tried builds 23770, 23885-OLDD and 23885-NEWD. On all of them the 5GHz channel is stuck on "Auto" and my devices can't see the 5GHz network.

lol, again, I've managed to fix it myself by tinkering. I had to set Regulatory Domain to USA and then back to Europe. Every day's a school day eh?

Hi all,

I am trying to get optware to work on this router, and I made a detailed post over on

Asus RT-AC66U and Optware
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=175592&start=15

Wondering if someone could take a look at the commands I used and advise where I went wrong as I tried to install nano text editor.

Thanks

not sure if this is the right place for this question. I will delete it if it is not.

I have got a very strange problem for a ghost version dd-wrt(13064) keeping come back.

The stock firmware worked for me but i kept losing internet connection. I first installed brainslayer, reboot, it showed the giba version. then i flashed DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/17/14) kongac - build 23900M, after reboot, it becomes an old version 13064, which i installed years ago. (i installed that version first, reversed to stock firmware before the new installation of dd-wrt).

How do i get rid of this ghost version of dd-wrt? thanks a lot.

Why would you have flashed a build, which has been called the worst Broadcom build made, on a router that came out 50 years after that build was first released?

Telnet into it and try erase nvram then reboot.

when it first came out, that was the build suggested here. it did not work well.

i did twice with nvram, i still came back.

i do not see this build if i switch back to the stock firmware.

If I install DD_wrt, this kept come back. I also can not upgrade firmware in this ghost version... it looks like a virus.

Is there a way clean up all space when i am in stock firmware?

There is no way that build was recommended here.
I don't know how you can clear it.
Someone experienced may know.

Hi I am on DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/23/14) kongac
(SVN revision 23770M) and am getting really slow wireless speeds.

About 3mbytes/s from wireless device to wired device and about 30mbit internet (I am getting 105mbit on wired from the router). I was getting faster speeds with my Trendnet 1750 router so I know my devices are capable. I am connecting to the 5ghz and it still isnt working Sad[/list]

Hi all,
I have installed the V24-sp2 (4/22/14), and I have the following configuration:
ADSL-> NETGEAR modem -> ASUS router -> LAN.

Configured as PPPoE with username and password.
The router connects to the ISP and gets the Wan IP address, but the computers connected to the LAN cannot access to Internet al all.

I don't know how to solve it...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
