AIR light blinking occasionally

What could be the reason behind the AIR light blinking occasionally, when there's absolutely no activity on the router (and no computers/devices are connected, be it via cable or wireless)? SSID is not broadcast. Does it happen if for instance some neighbor has a wifi on the same channel?
