I have setup multiple DD-WRT's before but this is the first time where I had an issue with it broadcasting SSID. Before I flashed to DD-WRT the wireless was working fine. I have enabled and disabled the SSID with no luck. I have tried multiple channels with no luck I have even 30/30/30 rebooted with no luck. I am out of ideas. I am running Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (10/10/09) micro. Any ideas?

I looked at the HW specific page for your router, http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linksys_WRT54G2#NEW_WIKI_Install_Material and I didn't find that firmware. It's also not the current recommendation by Redhawk0 at the beginning of this forum. Was this a recommended build for this router? Maybe it's a bug that shows in your hardware. Otherwise, I haven't got a clue.

If you had read even part of the 4 Announcements at the beginning of this forum you would have found the warning: DON'T USE THE ROUTER DATABASE
Don't ask me why. Use the Wiki and forum instead.

Well thats pretty dumb. I usually go to forums only if I have problems. I will search the forum.

I included a link a couple posts ago. The link contains the install procedure from the Wiki Supported Devices/Hardware Specific page. It contains the FW that is/was recommended for that router. It's not a powerhouse, so just about anything that is solid will likely keep you happy. I just picked up a WRT54GV8 and will put 14929 on it (per the Wiki) as that is what is currently the recommended/solid release. Good Luck!
